How many free scans do I get?

Free users get 10 scans per day. The counter resets at midnight. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited scans.

What does the Pro subscription include?

Is It Vegan? Pro gives you unlimited scans every day, available as a monthly ($2.99/month) or annual ($19.99/year) subscription. Both plans include a 7-day free trial.

Can I select multiple diets at once?

Yes! Simply tap multiple diet options on the selection screen. For example, you can select both Vegetarian and Gluten-Free to check both restrictions simultaneously.

The barcode isn't scanning. What should I do?

Make sure the barcode is well-lit and within the scanning frame. If it still doesn't work, switch to Photo mode and take a picture of the ingredients label directly — this works for any product in any language.

The product wasn't found in the database. What happens?

If a product isn't in the database, the app automatically switches to Photo mode so you can photograph the ingredients label for instant AI analysis.

Does it work with Japanese / non-English labels?

Yes! Our AI can read and analyse food labels in any language including Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Korean, and more.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to iPhone Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions → Is It Vegan? → Cancel Subscription. You'll keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open the app, tap "Upgrade to Pro" on the paywall screen, then tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom.
